As a group, we are Behavior Analysts and Speech Pathologists passionate about teaching others to learn. While our focus is on language, behavior, social, academic and life skills, we strive to make it meaningful and fun!
We provide continuous training and closely monitor progress through on-going assessment, observation, and direct 1-1 sessions to get to know each learner. The science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior (VB-identifying functions of language) is used to facilitate the development of socially significant skills needed to succeed at home, school and the community.
The programs developed are based the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) including Skinner’s Analysis of Verbal Behavior (VB).
ABA is a set of scientific principles used to identify functional relationships between the environment and behavior. The design, implementation and evaluation of interventions are directly observed and measured to produce socially significant improvements.
VB identifies functions of language through verbal operants as described by
B.F Skinnerç—´ book Verbal Behavior in 1957.
How are we different?
We ONLY hire Certified Behavior Analyst (or Eligible) and Speech Pathologists.
We offer comprehensive programs including services Speech and ABA.
We assist you in finding Behavioral Tutors.
We ensure quality of programming by providing accountability.
We maintain a low caseload to ensure that program is appropriately supported.
Roles of Home Therapy
Parent
Parents are considered a vital part of their child’s therapy team. Organizing, scheduling and advocating for your child are the responsibilities of the parent. The behavior analyst is the team leader, tutors provide teaching, the parents are the coaches, and the child is the leading player. You are strongly encouraged to become familiar with your child’s program in order to carry over lessons in your everyday life.
Your child's success is highly dependent on continuity across all environments (home, school, therapy, etc). VB identifies functions of language through verbal operants as described by B.F Skinnerç—´ book Verbal Behavior in 1957.
Behavior Analyst
The BCBA or BCABA is responsible for overseeing the ABA program in place for your child. Your consultant makes scientific data-decisions about your child’s program based on regular data collection to ensure efficacy of treatment. Your consultant is available to answer questions or provide suggestions on each program that is in place. BCBA/BCaBA is provided by Teach Me LLC.
The behavior analyst oversees your child’s ABA program and will:
- Provide treatment goals to learn new skills and eliminate problem behaviors.
- Observe and analyze behavior and evaluate progress
- Supervise and train therapists and families
- Provide direct therapy services
Speech Language Pathologist
The Speech Language Pathologist’s (SLP) responsibility is to supplement the client’s existing ABA program such as; in the areas of speech/language acquisition, swallowing and feeding disorders, apraxia, rehabilitation of oral-motor problems, articulation disorders, auditory processing disorders, and social pragmatic language disorders. Your speech therapist works closely with the behavior analyst to design treatment goals and teach procedures. SLP is provided by Teach Me LLC.
The speech language pathologist supplements your child’s ABA program and will:
- Provide treatment goals for learning new skills in the areas of speech and language
- Observe and analyze treatment and evaluate progress
- Supervise and train therapists and families
- Provide direct therapy services
Behavioral Tutor
The behavioral tutor is responsible for the direct teaching and will collect data for your child’s ABA program. Typically, behavioral tutors have a Bachelors Degree or are working toward a degree. The behavioral tutor is a contract worker hired by your family to work with your child.
Your behavioral tutor implements your child’s ABA program and will:
- Create motivating teaching environments
- Collect data
- Implement teaching procedures recommended by your
behavior analyst and/or speech language pathologist - Attend team meetings and trainings
